January 1, 1924 - First Regiment Armory - Young Stribling 66-3-12 & Dave Rosenberg 25-3-3 fought to 12 round no contest, no decision.
January 1, 1926 - Newark - Meyer Cohen, 13-2-1 fought to a 10 round no contest, no decision with Joe Downey.
January 3, 1949 - Laurel Gardens - Joe Curcio defeated Tony Rose by decision in an 8 round bout.
January 5, 1948 - Laurel Garden - Charlie (Doc) Williams (10-4-0), (Mahwah) won an 8 round decision over Buddy Farrell (48-27-5)(Newark)
January 7, 1935 - Tony Canzoneri won on a 2nd round KO over Eddie Ran in a 10 round bout. Freddie (Red) Cochran won a 6 round decision over Chang Callura in the semi-final bout.
January 8, 1952 - Laurel Garden - Jimmy Walker (Orange, NJ) won a 12 round decision over Archie McBride for the New Jersey State Heavyweight Title. In the semi-final, Ed Polly Smith won a 6 round decision over Willie Huff.
January 10, 1944 - Joe Curcio 20-6-5, (Newark) won an 8 round decision over Tony Riccio, 24-3-1 (Bayonne) in the 2nd of their 5 bouts. This was a rematch of their January 25, 1943 bout at Laurel Garden won by Riccio by a 6 round decision.
January 12, 1920 - 1st Regiment Armory - Fred Fulton 52-5-0 & Frank Moran (The Pittsburgh Dentist) 35-9-2 fought to an 8 round no decision, no contest (from the world Almanac - Popular Verdict, a win for Fulton)
January 13, 1947 - Tony Riccio, 39-23-7 (Bayonne) won a 10 round decision over Norman Rubio 40-13-5
January 14, 1935 - Roy Lazer 36-2-1 (Patterson) won a 10 round decision over Alvin (Babe) Hunt, 41-19-3. Roy Lazer would have 10 bouts in Newark.
January 15, 1926 - Meyer Cohen 14-2-1 defeated Joe Carlo (Newark) by 1st round KO
January 15, 1945 - Laurel Garden - Sandy Saddler 20-2-1 (Boston) defeated Mickey Johnson on a 1st round KO. Saddler would later win the World Featherweight title from Willie Pep in 1948 and again in 1950. He would also win the World Junior Lightweight title in 1949.
January 16, 1928 - Joe Dundee 68-13-8 (Baltimore) defeated Jean Mangeot on a 9th round TKO
January 16, 1933 - Eddie Ran 18-8-1 (Latvia) won a 10 round decision over Jay Macedon 8-4-4 (Orange)
January 17, 1936 - Freddie (Red) Cochran, 20-6-4 (Elizabeth) won a 10 round decision over George Levy (Trenton).
January 18, 1937 - Laurel Garden - Tony Galento (The Jersey Nightstick) 60-21-3 (Orange) fought to a 10 round draw with Don Petrin 12-13-2 (Englewood). In the Semi-Final 6 round bout Tippy Larkin, 34-2-0 (Garfield) won a 6 round bout over Chang Collura 3-4-0 (Newark). This was their third and last bout with Larkin winning two and Collura one. Collura would have nine bouts in Newark.
February 18, 1919 - Johnny Buff (Perth Amboy) defeated Johnny Burns on a 1st round KO - Johnny Buff would later win the Bantamweight Championship of the world on September 23,m 1921, winning a 15 round decision from Champion Pete Herman
February 23, 1922 - Broad A. C. - MIckey Walker, 18-2-0 (Elizabeth) fought a 12 round no contest, no decision bout with Soldier Bartfield, 18-10-4 in a rematch of their January 31, 1922 bout at the Philadelphia Ice Palace.
April 13, 1942 - Laurel Garden - Cleo Shans, 3-5-1 lost a 10 round decision to Freddie Archer 39-3-0 in a rematch of their March 20, 8 round bout at Madison Square Garden won by Archer.
May 11, 1942 - Laurel Garden - Carmelo Fenoy, 8-11-2 won a 10 round decision over Cleo Shans 6-6-1
May 13, 1968 - The Last Boxing Card at the Newark Armory - Lloyd Marshall (Newark) won a 10 round decision over Genaro Soto. (Irish) Pat Murphy (West New York) won a 6 round decision over Manny Pagan in the semi-final.
July 5, 1938 - Tippy Larkin 54-4-0 (Garfield) wins 10 round decision over Freddie (Red) Cochran 35-23-7 (Elizabeth) at the Legion Club in Newark.
August 29, 1938 - Tippy Larkin, 57-4-0 wins a 10 round decision over Freddie (Red) Cochran, 38-24-7 in Newark
September 15, 1920 - Mickey Walker, 10-1-0 (Elizabeth) fought to a 10 round no contest, no decision with Shamus O'Brien (Younkers). Walker would later win the World Welterweight & World Middleweight Titles.
December 7, 1925 - Joe Dundee 54-11-8 (Baltimore) fought to a 12 round no contest, no decision with Harry (Young) Dudley 21-21-13. Dundee would win the World Welterweight title in 1927 by defeating Pete Latzo.
December 21, 1921 - Mickey Walker and Dave Shade fight to a 12 round No Decision in a rematch of their November 21st bout.
December 22, 1919 - Joe Lynch and Joe Fox fought to an 8 round no decision. Joe Lynch would later win the World Bantam Weight title and be considered the best Bantamweight of the 20's. He would later become Postmaster in New City, New York.
December 25, 1934 - Benny Bass 110-21-4 (Philadelphia) won 10 round decision over (Irish) Jimmy Brady, 0-3 (Philadelphia)
December 29, 1936 - Frank Zamaris defeated Wallace (Bud) Mignault on a 1st round TKO of an 8 round bout.
December 30, 1944 - Nat Bolden wins 10 round decision over Bobby Jacobs at Laurel Gardens
